She has been performing at venues across Canada and the United States for over 15 years such as at the Vancouver Marathon, Northwest Folklife, and Canada’s national fiddling competition the Grand Master’s Fiddle Competition.

As a music teacher, Lia creates individually tailored lesson plans for each student. She has been teaching violin, cello, and piano for over 7 years and has developed a motivational and constructive teaching method.

She aims to inspire students to discover new aspects of their musicality and encourages them to always enjoy playing their instrument. She believes it is important for students to feel accomplished and satisfied after each lesson. She uses methods that she sees bst fit the students goals not omiting technique and ear training.
